The Toothbrush

Look at this lonely toothbrush! Doesn't it look sad? :( This is probably the worst part about Josh being gone, and that's because when I go to brush my teeth in the morning and at night, I see that Josh's toothbrush is missing. And that means he's not at work locally and won't be coming home tonight like usual :(

Wanna know a secret? I cleaned the parts of the mirror and sink that would be showing in this picture, cause I don't want you all to think I live like a slouch :)

Josh is in Italy on a business trip, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. They had a layover in Paris, so he got to see the Eiffel Tower! He sent me a picture of it, and I was gonna put it up, but I think I'm gonna see if I can convince Josh to blog when he gets back. And then he can put up the picture and talk about it, since he's the one who actually saw it. He's hoping he can get some more touristy stuff in while in Italy, but it will be kinda hard. Once his work day is over, museums and stuff might be closed. His hotel is near the statue of David and the oldest church in Italy or something like that. It'll be cool to see pictures of Europe and pretend I went with him :)

Why didn't I go with him, you ask? Cause the tickets cost too much. Otherwise I would have been right at his side, with Matthew in tow. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you--the airline lost his luggage! Luckily he packed essentials in his carryon bag, but I know he had to wear jeans for his first day of work over there. I had an e-mail from him this morning saying that the airport called and would be delivering his suitcase that afternoon for him. Yay for found luggage!

Happy Columbus Day!

Boo hoo for husbands missing in action! When Dad was away I'd do things that I couldn't do with him home. Like soup & sandwiches for dinner or breakfast for dinner. Then relaxing, long, hot bubble baths & reading a book I'd looked forward to reading for a long time. It helped me not miss him AS much but I would still miss him coming home @ the end of the day & cuddling @ night. I'd psych myself out by thinking "I won't miss him the hours he's ordinarily at work". Does that make sense? LOL!

Aww, poor sad little toothbrush--I want to give it a hug! ;)

Wow, business in Italy? Sweet! I'm so jealous of him getting to see the Eiffel Tower and getting to hang out in Italy. Yes, tell him he'd better blog when he gets back, because I want to pretend I went too.

Too bad you couldn't have gone--that would have been wicked cool. :)

Cool pic of the lonely toothbrush.

Business in Italy sounds like fun. Too bad the tickets were too expensive.

I miss Steve when he's away, too. I miss him, but I get sooo much more done in the evenings once Olyvia is asleep. It's a mixed blessing. lol

Josh totally needs to blog about his trip. It's fun to travel with people over the blog by reading their words and seeing their pics.

If you want to chat, give me a call.

Hugs,
Eden

Awww, what a lonely picture!! But I wasn't at all surprise to see the Ohio State logo on your toothbrush holder :).

Business in Italy somehow doesn't seem like business...I'm assuming...especially now with his luggage being found. I hope he gets a chance to look around, too, while he's there!

D's on call tonight, so I kind of get your lonely feeling. Although it's only for a night (well, every 4th night) and Mom and Dad are here to keep Micah and me company. But I still miss D and our nightly routine...and him getting out of bed to get Micah for me or to put him back to sleep :)
